Tembele Camagwini Mabentsela

Tembele is a young lady who hails from a village in a small town called Butterworth in the Eastern Cape. She is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa.

She has majored in Advanced Property Law, Advanced Law of Damages and Advanced Law of Contracts. Her research is on “Delictual damages which emanate from defamation of character on social media platforms, remedies and quantification of such damages”

She further holds the following certificates, Trial Advocacy, Practical Legal Training, Medical Negligence in Cerebral Palsy Infants and Practice Management (PMT).

She has been recognised by the University of the Free State Faculty of Law Dean for the Dean’s award for two consecutive years.
She has held two leadership positions as a treasurer & deputy chairperson of the Juridical Society (A student body for the UFS faculty of Law students).
Furthermore, as an advocate for women empowerment, she was part of the Executive Committee for the South African Women Lawyers Association Student Chapter UFS.
She has also been an active member of the Black Lawyers Association Student Chapter throughout her university tenure.
She holds an award for Best Performance within the Juridical Society Executive Committee.
